How to Get Maximum Productivity from Our Employees
Thank you for selecting TEMPORARILY YOURS to provide temporary
staffing to your office. We would like to offer the following
suggestions to make your experience with our temporary as productive
as possible.
-
TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO ORIENT THE EMPLOYEE TO THEIR WORK
AREA. For example, introduce the temporary employee
to the appropriate people in your office and give them a
quick tour of the office. Make your training manual and/or
phone extension sheet available. Taking these few minutes
to orient the temporary employee to your environment will
be worth the effort - it will help them to feel comfortable
and perform their best.
-
IF THEY ARE ANSWERING TELEPHONES, EXPLAIN EXACTLY HOW YOU
WOULD LIKE CALLS TO BE ANSWERED. In addition, please
have your company address, phone number, fax number, website
address, internal phone list, etc. available to the temporary
employee. These commonly asked questions can be quickly
answered by the temporary receptionist if s/he has the information
at hand! Also, take a moment to introduce the temporary
employee to the person they should ask if a question arises
and you are not available. The last thing we ever want is
for someone from our agency to say "I donıt know, Iım just
a temp."
-
IF THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR GREETING GUESTS, WHAT SPECIAL
PROTOCOL DOES YOUR COMPANY HAVE? For example, would
the temporary employee offer a beverage or hang coats?
-
ON THE FIRST DAY, please have the temporary employee
show you their timeslip so you will be familiar with the
format we use. Your placement coordinator will be happy
to answer any questions you may have. If you will not be
there at the end of the assignment, please designate someone
in your office to sign in your absence. The pink copy of
the timeslip is for your records.
-
IF THE TEMPORARY IS DOING A GREAT JOB WITH THE DUTIES YOU
HAVE ASSIGNED, and you would like to add more responsibility
to the position, please call your placement coordinator.
If the temporary has the appropriate qualifications, we
will modify our order and if necessary, adjust the pay and
bill rates accordingly. Conversely, if you feel that the
person is overqualified, we will be happy to search for
someone to perform a different set of duties at a lower
pay and bill rate. Please do not assign any tasks to a temporary
that involve driving. We do not allow them to drive company
vehicles or their own vehicle due to insurance restrictions.
Please contact your placement coordinator with any questions.
-
IF YOU HAVE EMAIL, itıs a nice touch to email your coworkers
with the temporary's full name so they can greet them on
their way past the work area. Our goal is to consistently
send qualified staffing to your office. If, for any reason,
you are not happy with the temporaryıs performance in the
first eight hours of the assignment, call the placement
coordinator immediately. You will not be charged for the
dayıs work. Our placement coordinators are here to work
with you to ensure your satisfaction time after time. We
are ready when you need us!
